About

I'm Alan Chen.

I used to do tea livestreaming. I got tired of staying up every night chasing platform metrics, tired of the increasingly exaggerated marketing.

I had some programming background, so I switched to being an indie developer. I thought I could ride the wave of the AI era, but every project I tried fizzled out. I fell into an existential crisis. I needed to be my own philosopher. I needed to figure out what a good life is.

I'm not used to writing. I'm just trying to put things down on record. I keep making the same mistakes, and keeping a record might help me reflect. In the flood of AI, now and ahead, I also want to leave behind some of my own thinking as an individual.

Being alive forces me to think about health, longevity, investing, focus.

Chen's Chan — is my zen, my thinking. I'll be updating my blog here, and publishing my future work and projects.
